Does SWI supply panels to Oman, Saudi Arabia and the GCC?

Yes. SWI manufactures and exports SDB panels to Oman (through our authorized distributor Golden Wood City), Saudi Arabia (Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam), Egypt, Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar. We also supply to Jordan and the wider MENA region.

Does SWI manufacture fire-rated panels?

Yes. SWI manufactures the Ox-FR (fire-rated) and Ox-Nar (fire door core) panel ranges, tested to BS 476. Available in 44mm, 56mm and 62mm thicknesses for fire door cores, fire-rated partitions and ceiling systems. Full test certificates and datasheets are available upon request.

SWI panels carry FSC Chain-of-Custody certification, CE Marking (EN 13986), E1 Formaldehyde Class (EN 717-1), CARB Phase 2 / TSCA Title VI compliance, and BS 476 fire rating (for Ox-FR and Ox-Nar). Our panels contribute to LEED v4, Estidama Pearl, Al Sa'afat, BREEAM and GSAS green building certifications — up to 11 LEED v4 credits from a single panel specification.

What panel thicknesses and sizes does SWI manufacture?

SWI manufactures SDB panels in standard 1220x2440mm sheets, available in thicknesses from 9mm up to 62mm — including 9, 12, 18, 25, 33, 38, 44, 56 and 62mm. Custom CNC cutting, edge profiling and special sizes are available for project orders.

Are SWI panels made from recycled materials?

Yes. SWI SDB panels use post-consumer recycled wood fibre — recovered from used furniture, construction offcuts and demolition timber. Over 60% of the panel mass is post-consumer recycled content, diverting material from landfill and reducing demand for virgin timber. Panels are FSC certified and E1/NAUF rated for safe indoor use.

The Ox-Panel series is designed by Oxford Tech LLC and manufactured by Steel Wood Industries FZCO. The range includes: Ox-LD (Low Density 550–620 kg/m³), Ox-MD (Medium Density 620–660 kg/m³), Ox-HD (High Density 660–720 kg/m³), Ox-FR (Fire-Rated), Ox-Nar (Fire Door Core) and Ox-Sawt (Acoustic). Each series is optimized for specific applications from joinery to structural fire protection.
