Every SteelWood SDB panel stores more CO₂ than it emits during manufacturing. Biogenic carbon sequestration in recycled wood fiber — locked in the building for 30-50 years. Oxford Tech technology. SWI manufacturing. GWoodc Oman distribution.
Wood fiber is ~50% carbon by dry weight. This carbon was absorbed from atmospheric CO₂ by trees during photosynthesis. When processed into panels, this biogenic carbon remains locked in the building for its entire service life (30-50 years).
By diverting wood waste from landfill (avoided methane CH₄) and incineration (avoided CO₂), SteelWood panels prevent greenhouse gas emissions that would otherwise occur. Methane has 28× the global warming potential of CO₂.
